Canto Wine

With beautiful old, dry land, low yielding vines only the best rows of grapes are harvested to produce the unwooded Chardonnay, Merlot and MCC.

The state of the art tasting room is open for tastings Monday – Saturday, and with a fresh selection of cheeses, preserves and cold meats you can help yourself to a delectable variety of nibbles to enjoy on the patio with its view over the vineyards.

A very convenient location just outside of the D’urbanvale residential area together with its large inviting lawn, there is no reason to leave the children behind.

Phizante Kraal Wines

Centrally sited just outside Durbanville the farm offers wine lovers and food enthusiasts a peaceful refuge to relax before setting off to explore the rest of the valley. Visitors are reminded that this is a working farm and, while children are welcome, they must be supervised at all times.

Phizante Kraal

Meerendal Wine Estate

For this 300-year old wine estate, history was made in 1714 when Christina Stans, widow of the first owner, planted 60,000 vines on the rolling hills of Meerendal. Following in her footsteps, Liza Goodwin, cellarmaster and winemaker since 1998, kept this tradition alive. Privately owned since 2004, Meerendal Wine Estate has been developing into one of South Africa’s top wine estates. Since 2012, “Team Meerendal” has represented the wine estate at the world’s biggest and toughest mountain bike race, the Absa Cape Epic.
