At Arabella we have a very simple objective: We endeavour to make the best wine possible. Achieving this goal is our passion.
As a family owned business we take a hand-on approach to all activities and processes on the estate. All grapes are grown on the estate and great care is taken in the viticulture process. We also try and focus on staying on top of the constant changing needs of our consumers. Giving back to our community is also high on our priority list. For every case sold, money is being donated to a trust which assist with uplifting the local community and workers.
“Happiness doesn't result from what we get, but from what we give.” Ben Carson
The name Arabella was chosen as a word play on the beautiful Arabian horses, which grace its verdant pastures. Stephen de Wet and son Jamie are both very keen endurance riders. Jamie received his national colours in 2004. Stephen heads up the viticulture, stud and winemaking departments. Jamie heads up logistic, bottling, labeling, distribution, administration, sales, marketing, advertising and the brand. Arabella is thus a complete family business in which every family member is passionately involved.
The winery has a capacity of 3,200,000 litres, of which 600,000 litres will be red wine maceration tanks. All tanks are cooled. Arabella Estate is equipped with its own dedicated bottling and labelling plant.
