Siwela Sweetness Masoga is the founder and visionary behind Siwela Wines, a brand built on courage, elegance, and purpose. Born in Soweto and raised in the village of Marulaneng- Ga- Mphahlele, Siwela’s journey began with humble roots and a bold dream. With a background in Biotechnology and a specialisation in fermentation science from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, she combined science, creativity, and passion to shape her path in winemaking.

After years in the wine industry, she saw an opportunity to create something different, a wine brand that reflects excellence, beauty, and inclusion. In 2018, she took a bold step and founded Siwela Wines.

The name ”Siwela”, meaning ”crossing over” in isiZulu, represents transformation, growth, and new begginings. What was once carried personal meaning became a symbol of strength and purpose. Through Siwela Wines, she honors the women who paved the way while inspiring a new generation to dream beyond limits. Today, Siwela Wines is known for beautifully crafted wines that blend luxury with warmth and authenticity. Every bottle reflects a commitment to quality, elegance and meaningful storytelling.
