Overview

Stretching along the Langeberg mountain range are the towns of Robertson and McGregor. Koningsrivier farm lies off the main road between these two towns. The farm was originally named Konings River, as a tribute to the Breede River a few kilometers away. Wine grapes, peaches, apricots, and vegetables (tomatoes, butternuts, gem squash, and green peppers) are produced on Koningsrivier. There is also a block of rosemary that grows on Kingsrivier. We have 26 permanent employees on the farm. An old farm workers’ house was restored into a guest cottage (Klipberg cottage), and one of the old farmhouses was changed into a guest house, King Manor.
