Marianne Wine Estate is a boutique winery, with a limited production of between 80 000 and 100 000 bottles per vintage. A minimum of three years passes from the time the grapes are harvested to any vintage's initial availability.

Marianne's red wines exist within a contemporary space that many consider a shift away from winemaking of old, with Michel Rolland's global influence regarded as a contributing factor. Marianne Wine Estate red wines are bold and fruit-forward, with well-integrated, softer tannins. Part of the reason for this flavour profile, is the acknowledgement that consumers are demanding Bordeaux blends that are worthy of attention younger than was typical in previous generations.
